Colors are the only way to describe it. Because sometimes you’ll be blending paints and there’ll be a shade that works so beautifully. It’s lovely while it lasts, but when there’s not enough of the blend left to paint clear lines, you have to make room on the palette for other colors because you’ll never get the same shade, no matter how much time you spend on recreating the way it made you feel on paper.
