An indoor sway to lullabies
drunk and exhausted and dim
in glowing corners
harsh inhales and
lungs packed with headless wasps
who sting without discrimination
smug predator parasites scavenging for sweetness
blind and brooding
steal honey from your blood
with your head in your hands
your back against the wall
you let them in, you house them at will
they breed, they evolve
while you toe the line between a downfall and a hot shower
